Choose a change to measure

How AI recommendation tracking works.

  1. Approve buyer questions

Start with your company, market and competitors. Confirm the questions buyers would ask.

  2. Repeat the samples

Save raw answers and citations. Classify brands as absent, mentioned, shortlisted or recommended.

  3. Investigate and re-measure

Inspect losing answers, record a change and repeat the protocol. One before-and-after result does not establish causation.

Know what the number means.

AI Recommendation ShareAnswers where your brand is shortlisted or recommended ÷ total sampled answers.

AI recommendation tracking distinguishes being named from being a viable or preferred choice. Lost Recommendation Share records answers where a competitor qualifies while your brand does not. Referrals and crawler activity remain separate signals.

Questions people ask

Is a mention the same as a recommendation?

No. Mentionloom only counts shortlisted or explicitly recommended states toward Recommendation Share.

Does being named first automatically count as recommended?

No. First position alone is not enough; the answer must express preference, ranking, endorsement, or viable shortlist status.
